A full sixth form from Year 12 through to exams, with every lesson taught one to one or in a group of two or three, and an hour of individual mentoring each week.

What studying here is actually like

A week at Westminster Tutors does not look like a week at a school. There is no class of thirty, no form group and no sitting through a lesson on something you already understand. Instead there is a timetable of individual and very small group lessons, written for you, with private study built into the gaps and staff on hand in the building while you use them.

In practice that changes three things. Teaching moves at your pace, so weak topics get the time they need and strong ones stop wasting it. Written work is marked closely and discussed rather than handed back with a grade. And nothing goes unnoticed for long, because a tutor teaching two people cannot fail to see when one of them has stopped following.

Because nothing is timetabled around a class, no combination is ruled out by the timetable, and we enter candidates with all UK exam boards.

If a subject you need is not listed, ask. Courses are timetabled individually, so we can often arrange teaching in a subject that a school would not run for a single student.

Entry

Westminster Tutors is non selective. There is no entrance examination and no published minimum grade profile.

The purpose of the conversation is not to decide whether you are good enough. It is to work out what the course would need to look like for you to reach the grades you want, and to be honest with you if we think a different plan would serve you better.

Timetables that survive a commute

Most of our students travel in, some from well outside London. Because the timetable is built one student at a time, teaching can be concentrated into fewer, longer days, or arranged to avoid the worst of the rush hour. Tell us what the journey looks like before the timetable is written rather than after.

Around 95% of each A level cohort goes on to higher education. The college was rated Exceeding Expectations by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in 2024 and is reviewed in the Good Schools Guide.

Fees and what they cover

Fees depend on the number of subjects taken and the amount of individual teaching in the timetable, so they are quoted per student rather than published as a single figure.
